MAURIZIO ANDOLFI is a world renowned Master Family Therapist & Psychotherapy Supervisor who has worked in Europe, North & South America, Africa, Asia, Middle East & Australia. He is currently a Professor-In-Residence at the William Street Family Therapy Centre.
In this workshop Maurizio Andolfi will explore how to work with grief and loss from a Systemic- Multigenerational approach. The first therapeutic goal will be to engage in therapy, families who have suffered sudden or striking loss, instead of only meeting the individual who is more motivated or in despair. Moving from each individual experiencing sadness alone, to being able to share the pain and grief with the family and community support will be the second therapeutic goal.
Through clinical video material and therapeutic examples, he will demonstrate his experiential model which involves children, parents, extended family and friends as healing resources, to restore harmony and hope in families under stress. The use of rituals and symbolic actions in therapy will also be illustrated, as a way to overcome deep grief and family disintegration. This is a workshop not to be missed!!
