A Two-Day Workshop Friday & Saturday 2 & 3 October 2020 (9.00am – 4.30pm)
This Workshop provides a follow-up to the two-day May 2020 Webinar titled “Loss and Grief- Dimensions and Guises”. It is not essential that you have attended the May Webinar, but it is encouraged.
Rosemary Watkins invites you to join her for this two-day workshop exploring experientially and more fully the aspects of Ambiguous Loss and Complicated Mourning.
- What is Ambiguous Loss?
- What is Disenfranchised Grief?
- What is Complicated Mourning?
- How do you Assess?
- How do you work?
- What is the research saying?
- How would you work with disowned emotions; distorted thinking; self-punishing behaviours?
- How does it fit within a world where we are all living in a time of a Global Pandemic?
- What impact does it have on you as the therapist? Or on you as a person? Is there a difference?
“It would be a privilege and a pleasure to have your company in October to explore these aspects of Loss, Grief, and an Uncertain world. The workshop will be largely experiential, and you will be invited, to potentially step outside your comfort zone to engage in the creation of meaningful encounters with your clients. There will be opportunities to re-create a ‘longed-for’ dialogue to assist your clients with ‘saying hello again in the heart’ to a loved one. There will be opportunities to practice engaging in therapeutic conversations that can assist people to find healing and integration amidst the apparent chaos, living with ‘not knowing’ and life’s uncertainty”. Kind regards, Rosemary
