Training Courses, Workshops & Supervision
Since 1988, William
Street Family Therapy Centre has provided family and
relationship professionals with high quality hands-on training
courses, workshops and supervision.

Professionals have been able to learn and gain experience by
attending the various training and supervision courses offered at
the Centre. Recently we have
also become accredited as a Registered Training Organisation
(RTO).
While tertiary institutions provide good theoretical grounding
in the helping profession, the Centre
provides practical training for professionals and students wishing
to develop their therapeutic skills.
The courses offered at
William Street Family Therapy Centre
provide excellent practical opportunities to develop professional
therapeutic skills. This includes direct supervision of therapy
sessions where trainees get the opportunity to assist clients in a
controlled environment.
The range of courses include Marital and Family Therapy Training
Courses, Intensive Courses, Individual and Group Supervision,
Workshops and Short Courses.

Upcoming Courses - Certificate IV in Relationship
Education
In 2011, William Street Family Therapy Centre will be offering a
new Certificate IV in Relationship Education. This course will be
offered as part of our scope as a Registered Training Organisation
(RTO).
We also recognise and promote Recognition for Prior
Learning (RPL). Students who have completed the first year of the
WSFTC Two-Year Training Course in Family & Relationship Therapy
Course (or equivalent) may be able to obtain the Certificate IV in
Relationship Education qualification by gaining recognition for up
to 80% of the course and attending a brief training program, if
approved to do so, based on information and documentation
